Crestron, the global leader in control and automation solutions, scooped an impressive top prize in two hotly contested categories at the annual InAVation Awards. Crestron’s groundbreaking DigitalMedia won the ‘Residential Video Processing /Distribution’ category to reaffim its position as the most celebrated audio visual product in years, while the stylish, and innovative TPMC-3x touchpanel saw off the competition in the ‘Residential Control’ category.
Held at a glittering ceremony at ISE 2010, the awards were presented to Crestron in front of a 1000-strong audience of their a-v industry peers. “It’s a great feeling when you win an award, but winning two is a magnificent achievement,” commented Petra van Meeuwen, UK Marketing Manager at Crestron. “Much of our time and energy goes into developing new products and much of the credit should go to our tremendous R&D team who continue to develop products that set the a-v industry gold standard.”
All products are judged on product design, product functionality and product usability criteria. Entry was open to all global AV technology manufacturers who released product made commercially available throughout the EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) territory within the 2009 calendar year.
DigitalMedia™ meets the many technical challenges of HDMI and is the first complete HD AV distribution system to allow any mix of AV sources to be distributed throughout a home from a centralised rack location, without loss of quality or inherent latency.
The TPMC-3X is the new 2.8” touchpanel that truly elevates WiFi handheld control: faster speed and omni-directional coverage enables roaming with extended communication range for multi-room control.
